Selections from the Green Collection at FIU
What Takes Root: Selections from the Green Collection at FIU marks the launch of the Green Family Collection at the Frost Art Museum, a new initiative dedicated to supporting and collecting the work of artists connected to South Florida. The program builds on a nearly three-decade history of collecting made possible through the Dorothea and Steven Green Endowment, beginning in 1997 with the acquisition of Rubén Torres-Llorca’s Evasion Plan and continuing with works by artists including José Bedia, Adler Guerrier, and Yanira Collado.
Bringing these earlier acquisitions into conversation with works from the inaugural round of the Green Family Collection, What Takes Root celebrates a new chapter in this history of support for artists in the region.
