Expanding upon the themes in David C. Driskell & Friends: Creativity, Collaboration, and Friendship and its parallel exhibition Invitation to Openness, we invite you to an immersive live performance by eko vizion meusik, a dynamic ensemble of some of South Florida’s most creative and forward-thinking musicians. Blending futuristic textures, lush harmonies, improvisation, and field recordings, the group explores a sonic landscape where contemporary jazz, electronics, and classical guitar influences blend with South Florida’s eclectic soundscapes. The night will feature opening remarks by Dr. Valerie Patterson, Director of the African and African Diaspora Studies Program.

eko vizion meusik features Dion Kerr on bass; Vaughn Henry on keyboard; Stephane Clement on trumpet; and Miguel Russell on drums.
