Slow Art Day is a global movement with one mission: Encourage visitors to discover for themselves the joys of looking at art. One day each year people all over the world visit local museums and galleries to look at art slowly. Why slow? When people look slowly at a piece of art they make discoveries. The most important discovery you make is what you can learn just by looking.

Join us for yoga with FIU Professor Dr. Andrea Seidel, Mandala rock painting, discussions about the artworks on view, and wrap up the day with a mindfulness activity with FIU Wellness Program Manager, Nathan Burandt.

Visitors are welcome to drop in for any part of the program to enjoy these activities.

Slow Art Day at the Frost Art Museum FIU is in memory of Helena Venero.
