Featured Virtual Event

Each year since 2004, as an official event during Art Basel Miami Beach, the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum has welcomed visitors to enjoy a lecture by a noted sculptor and guided tours of the Frost’s exhibitions and Sculpture Park. Thus year, we will kept the spirit of Breakfast in the Park alive with a lecture with 2019 MacArthur “Genius” grant recipient, Jeffrey Gibson. Gibson’s multimedia practice synthesizes the cultural and artistic traditions of his Cherokee and Choctaw heritage with themes from contemporary, popular, and queer culture. His work is a vibrant call for queer and Indigenous empowerment, envisioning a celebration of strength and joy within these communities.
