Join us for a special performance from FIU students and faculty from the Wertheim School of Music and Performing Arts. Led by Professor Javier Mendoza, Professor Juvenal Correa-Salas, and Erynn Millard, Director of Choral Activities, this musical performance will complement the exhibition, From the Andes to the Caribbean: Art of the Spanish Americas.

Included in the program will be Hanacpachap, a piece of polyphonic sacred music with Quechua text. This is one of the earliest works of western music written in the Americas. Following the performance, a reception will take place in the museum’s atrium.
