Join Frost Art education director Miriam Machado for a conversation with digital artist Dr. Nettrice Gaskins. Dr. Gaskins will share her vast experience as an educator, author, and researcher. As a STEAM advocate, her work bridges cultural gaps and explores how to generate art using algorithms in different ways, especially through coding.
Gaskins’ work is currently on view in the exhibition Transfiguration, which spotlights how visual narrative at the heart of Afrofuturist practice is part of a longer Black speculative tradition.
