Sticks to Stains is a two-part virtual series, where participants will create art using found materials from their immediate surroundings, in reaction to the exhibition The Inside World: Contemporary Aboriginal Australian Memorial Poles from the Debra and Dennis Scholl Collection. This class will send you on a scavenger hunt of your own environment, encourage experimentation, understand ephemerality, and recognize your connection to peoples and their drawings. For the second half of this series, we will experiment with an eco-materialism approach and the power of play in developing a work of art with the items from the scavenger hunt activity in Part 1.
