At FIU, we have canceled all on and off campus events scheduled through April 4 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Please note that we would like to postpone Forest Immersion and Plant Sounds scheduled for today Thursday, March 12 from 12:30-2pm. The decision has been made due to the coronavirus pandemic and out of an abundance of caution with the health and well-being of our guests and community in mind. We hope to have a new date soon. Please check fiu.edu/coronavirus for updated information.

Inspired by the exhibition Transitional Nature, join artist and FIU Assistant Professor of Art, Fereshteh Toosi to explore landscape ecology and our relationship to place. Toosi will guide participants in a short contemplative practice followed by a sound art performance with amplified plants.

We will spend our time outside. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Also note: The Nature Preserve trails are not wheelchair accessible. Please let us know if you need special accommodations.
