Genetic Portraits by Nela Ochoa
Friday, April 17, 2009 — Sunday, August 23, 2009
Nela Ochoa is a multi-media artist working simultaneously in the realms of video art, sculpture and performance to explore the genetic codes of human bodies.
Ochoa will create a site specific installation, which investigates DNA in the body.
Ochoa's work uses medical images such as X-rays to explore the complex relationships between DNA and body.
She often uses her own DNA printed in latex as a starting point for her sculptural endeavors.
