Join us for our annual Breakfast in the Park with our Presenting Partner West Kendall Baptist Hospital for this official Art Basel Miami Beach event. Each year since 2004, the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum has welcomed guests to enjoy a complimentary breakfast, a lecture by a noted sculptor, and guided tours of our Sculpture Park and exhibitions. This event is free and open to the public.

This year, Elizabeth Turk, internationally acclaimed sculptor and MacArthur Fellow will be our featured speaker.  Turk is known for transforming her signature medium of marble into strikingly intricate objects that defy convention and challenge our preconceptions of what marble can do. Turk pushes her medium to its limit, creating in each sculpture a provocative tension between the intrinsic strength of the stone and its inherent fragility, while speaking to larger conceptual and spiritual concerns of time, matter, and space. Turk earned her MFA at the Rinehart School of Sculpture, Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. She is the recipient of numerous prestigious national awards, including a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship (2010), a Barnett and Annalee Newman Foundation Fellowship (2010), and a Smithsonian Artist Research Fellowship (2011).

Lecture will start at 10:30am. Seating is limited and will be on a first come, first serve bases.
